Beware of scammers

Hi everyone,

Not sure if I’ll do any trading today, I might start a couple positions after the open but the markets close early today (1pm EST) and volume will be light so volatility could be higher than normal.

I was alerted last night about a scammer using my name & likeness to lure people into their investment service. I'm trying to get more info but I'm assuming they don't have an investment service, they probably charge a big upfront fee to join this fake service and then just disappear with your money.

From what I can tell, it appears they message people on Twitter (after they start following me or engaging with me) and then invite them to a private chat on Telegram. I have 20+ screenshots from their conversation (with the person that alerted me) that went back and forth for several days. They seem to speak/write English well enough (or maybe using a translator) but they also know key trading terms/lingo which helps in their deception.

This is terrifying for me and others who run investment services with subscribers. I have no idea how to stop/prevent this stuff from happening. We all know these scam/spam bots are ruining twitter and yet Elon Musk refuses to do anything to stop it but now these scammers are taking their efforts to a new level.

Please be careful. Never assume you are speaking to me on any other platform, especially these private chat apps.
